Dental health

Teeth should be brushed last thing at night and one other time during the day, typically in the morning, using a small amount of adult tooth paste which has at least 1350-1500ppm of fluoride (over 3’s) and remember to change their toothbrush every 3 months.
Supervise and support your child brushing their teeth until they are confident to do this on their own - usually between 7-8 years of age. Limit sugary foods and drinks to meal times only as having too much sugar can cause tooth decay. We would recommend 6 monthly dental check ups at a NHS dentist which is free for children until they are 18 years of age -to find a dentist visit www.nhs.uk/servicesearch/find-a-dentist
