Welcome to Sutton Health and Care!

Sutton Health and Care (SHC) is an innovative provider alliance, formed of partnerships between London Borough of Sutton, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Sutton Primary Care Networks and South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

Working together, we provide community services in Sutton, caring for adults in their own homes across the borough, providing children’s community health services, and sexual health services. Together, we can achieve more for the people we care for.

Historically, there have been boundary lines between the organisations that provide care to people in their homes, in GP surgeries and in hospitals, but we have always been in united in our mission to provide great care to the people who need us. It’s on those grounds that the Sutton Health and Care partnership was brought together – we want local people to receive the care that they need in the right environment.

On Monday 1 April 2019, adult and children's community services transferred to Sutton Health and Care from The Royal Marsden, while sexual health services transferred from Chelsea and Westminster.

Adult community services, specialist children's services and sexual health services staff are employed by Epsom and St Helier hospitals as part of Sutton Health and Care. Health visiting and school nursing services and the associated safeguarding and admin services are employed by the London Borough of Sutton.

Over 500 staff work in the Sutton Health and Care partnership, and its work is overseen by the Alliance (our partners). Each partner in the alliance (Epsom and St Helier hospitals, Sutton GP Services, London Borough of Sutton, and South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust) has an equal say in decision making.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals, as the lead provider, holds the Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration for the partnership. The London Borough of Sutton holds the registration with the CQC for Children's Services
