Objects of Reference
Objects of reference are a simple and effective way to help your child understand what is happening in their day and what is going to happen next. By using familiar, everyday objects, you can support your child’s understanding of routines and activities before they happen.
This video shows you how you can use everyday objects, such as a cup, a shoe, or a favourite toy, to represent activities and help your child make sense of their daily routine.
