Sutton Health and Care’s Dan Christmas steps over the edge for Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity
Dan Christmas, Team Lead for Learning Disability Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy at Sutton Health and Care, is preparing to take on a brand-new challenge as he gears up for the Abseil St Helier in support of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity.
Dan has been part of the Sutton Community Learning Disability Health Team for the past three years and has worked as an Occupational Therapist for eight years. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities to live healthier, more independent lives within their communities.
Dan is swapping the day job for an adrenaline-filled fundraiser — all to raise vital funds for new and exciting community projects.
Speaking about why he decided to sign up, Dan said:
“I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone while also raising much-needed funds for new and exciting community projects. It felt like a great opportunity to challenge myself and support services that make a real difference to local people.”
While Dan admits the abseil will be daunting, he is looking forward to taking part and hopes his challenge will inspire others to get involved or support the cause.
The funds raised by Dan will go towards the Sutton Health and Care Charitable Fund, as part of Epsom and St Helier Hospital Charity. Donations will help support patients, families and teams across Sutton Health and Care, funding projects that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
