Community breastfeeding and infant feeding support
Welcome to Sutton Infant Feeding – here to support you on your baby’s feeding journey, however you choose to feed.
Our team offers skilled, parent-centred support as part of the Health Visiting Service, and we’re here for all families, whether you're breastfeeding, formula feeding, combination feeding, or just looking for guidance.

Breast Feeding Welcome Here
We’ve just launched a new initiative to support breastfeeding in our community – the “Breastfeeding Welcome Here” scheme!
If you're a local venue in Sutton – whether it's a shop, café, restaurant, community centre, library, museum, or leisure centre – we want YOU to join us in showing your support for breastfeeding mothers.
Feeding Your Baby: What You Need to Know
For the first six months, breastmilk provides everything your baby needs.
Breastmilk is tailor-made for your baby. It contains essential vitamins, minerals, and antibodies that help protect against infections and support long-term health. However you feed your baby, we’re here to provide non-judgemental, evidence-based advice and support.
If breastfeeding isn’t possible or preferred, first stage infant formula (any brand) is a suitable alternative. Babies don’t need any other food or drink until around six months of age, when solid foods can begin to be introduced gradually.
Feeding is more than just nutrition—it’s about bonding, confidence, and wellbeing. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
