A team of brave staff members from Sutton Health and Care are preparing for a thrilling challenge as they gear up to abseil down St Helier Hospital this April, all in support of the Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity.

Sutton’s Health Visiting Team will be at the St. Nicholas Centre, Sutton, on Tuesday 11 March 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm, providing expert advice on safer sleep practices for babies.

The Chief Executive of NHS England, Amanda Pritchard, praised the innovative work we are doing to help make sure patients recover sooner on a recent visit to the Sutton Health and Care, Reablement Unit at St Helier Hospital.

A fresh wave of junior doctors’ strikes will hit NHS services this weekend – less than a week after a trio of emergency departments saw one of their busiest days this winter.

UKHSA has reported an increase in measles across the country including London and is encouraging people to check that they and their children have had two doses of the MMR vaccine.

This winter, local NHS staff, particularly those on the front line, are working hard to make sure people receive the care they need. Among them is Marlon Reyes, frailty nurse in the emergency department at St Helier hospital.
