STI and HIV testing
We offer the following services at the Rosehill Clinic:
Routine STI and HIV testing
It is recommended that sexually active adults get tested at least once a year for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis, even if you have no symptoms.
If you have no symptoms and would like a general STI check up, you can request a kit to test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, HIV and Syphillis at https://www.shl.uk/clinic/the-rosehill-clinic. See below for full details of the Sexual Health London Services.
If under 25 and have no symptoms, you can order a testing kit for chlamydia and gonorrhoea at www.freetest.me. To test for HIV and syphilis as well, please use the Sexual Health London services.
Testing for people with symptoms
If you have symptoms or signs of an infection, been told you have been in contact with an infection, need treatment or require access to post-exposure prophylaxis following exposure to HIV we recommend you attend.
On site will be doctors and specialist nurses who can provide you with a provisional diagnosis and treat any infection found in one visit. Any remaining results will be texted to your phone one week later.
Psychosexual counselling and therapy
Within our team we have trained psychosexual counsellors and clinical psychologists. If you are experiencing psychological sexual problems, unexplained medical symptoms related to sexual health or lifestyle choices that are negatively impacting on your sexual health (for example, Chemsex) a referral to the psychosexual counselling team may be advised.
To access the team we recommend attending a walk in service or speaking to your GP who will refer you to the clinic.
