Safer Sleep Week
We are supporting safer sleep week. Safer Sleep Week is The Lullaby Trust’s national awareness campaign targeting anyone looking after a young baby. It aims to raise awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and the simple advice that reduces the risk of it occurring.
The Sutton Health Visiting team will be in St Nicholas Centre on Tuesday 14 March 2002 promoting safer sleep week. Come and meet your health visiting team and get some advice on safer sleep for babies.
How to reduce the risk of SIDS
The Lullaby Trust's safer sleep advice gives simple steps for how you can sleep your baby to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) which is commonly known as cot death. It can give you the peace of mind to enjoy this special time.
The advice is based on strong scientific evidence and should be followed for all sleep periods, not just at night.
